Together We Thrive, partnering with Hester Street, would like to invite you to participate in this opportunity to amplify the voices and work of Black business owners and designers. Our vision during this week-long festival is to offer space to broadcast voices in Black design, as well as generate opportunities for demonstrations of their work. This will include panel discussion, retail space and networking opportunities for designers and business owners to meet socially, connect professionally, and shape the perceptions of how design is defined. We want to incorporate spaces for the public to interact with the work of designers in the fields of fashion, engineering, architecture, art, furniture, construction, and beyond.
Together We Thrive is hosting a tri-borough series of events in Harlem, Bed-Stuy, and Jamaica, Queens. This series of events kicks off in Bed-Stuy, a hub of African American culture and home to icons such as Jackie Robinson and Jay-Z. Partnering with IMPACCT Brooklyn, this event will host Black designers in all creative realms; graphic design, architecture, interior design, home goods, and more to display and sell their wares. This event is flea market style, with vendors set up at individual tables.
