Studio Delta P – Woodskin Collection

Join Studio DeltaP, a newly launched art studio, to celebrate their first jewelry collection named “WoodSkin” at the NYCxDESIGN festival. The studio focuses on the creation of jewelry and sculptural pieces as the final product of each collection. DeltaP is the symbol of impulse in physics, meaning change in momentum, embodying the concepts of time and force.
The collection is inspired by the peeled-off woodskins found in nature creating unique forms of twisted, stretched and bent surfaces.
These forms are shaped by multi-phase interactions of the boundary layer of woodskins with internal and external forces. From the very first crack on the growing woodskin to the effect of environmental factors through wind, sun exposure and skyfall, each woodskin held its individual story, yet shared common elements.

This collection is an embodiment of extensive exploration and analysis of the woodskins, accompanied by sets of drawings, photographs, and sculptures at the festival.
