Self-Guided Journeys LIVE: SoHo Design District

During the Festival, NYCxDESIGN is building off of the virtual Self-Guided Journeys platform to present a series of LIVE studio visits. Through these visits, the NYC design community and the interested public will have the opportunity to visit a variety of design destinations and interact with local creative leaders. Spanning the historically renowned center for creativity, the SoHo Design District is a neighborhood solely dedicated to innovative design and architecture brands, and experiences. Originally formed as a platform for discussing common interests, the member brands of this non-profit organization have transformed the area into a prime design destination. The design showrooms feature products dating back as far as the 1930’s and provide a resource for architects and designers, design enthusiasts and students from around the world.

During this Self-Guided Journeys LIVE tour, attendees will learn about SoHo and its history, discover iconic architectural details of the area, and discover what ties together this organization of internationally renowned design showrooms. Learn how they foster local collaborations and design education within the NYC community and beyond. You are invited to visit their member locations for a dedicated introduction on the most iconic brands and products.
