NYCxDESIGN & Glen-Gery Launch Materiality 2021, Brickworks’ Latest Publication

Join NYCxDESIGN and Glen-Gery, a brand of Brickworks, to close out the 2021 Festival at Brickworks Design Studio, the North American flagship location located on 5th Avenue, to celebrate the launch of the brand’s newest publication, Materiality 2021. The event will feature an intriguing panel discussion about the potentiality of brick as a material in architecture. The discussion will be moderated by Avinash Rajagopal, Editor In Chief at Metropolis Magazine, featuring Morris Adjmi, Principal Architect at Morris Adjmi Architects, and Lara Robertson, Vice President of Design & Distributor Sales at Glen-Gery. The conversation will explore outstanding New York City brick projects, consider the material’s influence, and its potential to impact the future. Reception to follow.

The book explores the use of brick and concrete block in contemporary architecture, as well as issues of urban density and design.
