Italian Design week – Update from Milano

The Italian Trade Commission will host a panel discussion covering the impact and influence of Italian design on the U.S and the world. Guests will hear remarks from Dr. Carlo Angelo Bocchi, Trade Commissioner and Director of ICE Miami, the honorable Fabrizio Di Michele, Consul General of Italy in New York, Dr. Antonino Laspina, Trade Commissioner and Executive Director for the United States, Professor Alessandro Melis, Architect and Dean of the School of Architecture at New York Institute of Technology and Ilene Shaw, Executive Director of NYCxDESIGN.
Christine Abbate, CEO & Founder of Novità Communications, will moderate a panel entitled “Update from Milano,” sharing key moments and takeaways from Salone del Mobile and Milan Design Week. The presentation will feature images and insights from the event and collections from New York’s top Made-in-Italy brands. Panelists include esteemed design journalist Elaine Markoutsas, Laurence Carr, top Interior Designer and Sustainability Expert, and Professor Melis. Remarks from Mr. Riccardo Honorati Bianchi, Head of Country System Initiatives for European and International Affairs at CDP, will follow.
